Bluesign, Intec, and Akrocean joined forces in 2023 to organise the first Greek Offshore Renewable Energy Conference in Athens, initially focused on sharing return of experience from active players abroad and presenting solutions to accelerate offshore wind development in Greece. Building on the success of its first two editions, the third edition, held on October 20 & 21, 2025, marked a new chapter by expanding its scope to the entire Mediterranean basin, to reflect the growing regional momentum. This evolution reflects the shared ambition to strengthen cooperation, exchange knowledge, and address common challenges across the region — particularly those related to early-stage development such as skills and training needs, insurance and risk management, environmental assessment and de-risking strategies, maritime decarbonization, ports and infrastructure development, local content strategies, grid integration, bankability and investment frameworks.
Reflecting this broader vision, the conference was relaunched as the Med’ Offshore Renewable Energy Conference, with the aim of positioning itself as the Mediterranean offshore wind event.
